We are now in the process of organizing our year-end recital!

Many of you have been asking about summer lessons! We have limited spots available for individual summer lessons so do reach out as soon as possible with your prefered days.
We are excited to announce that Ms. Alondra will run a 7 week vocal group class for JMC4, YMC3, JSAC & JAC students!
For those with little siblings or family and friends who would be interested in joining our Yamaha group classes next year, check out our demo schedule below!

Year-end Recital Updates - Stay Tuned! |

The school year has just zipped by! With June around the corner, we are preparing for our year-end recital to celebrate all your hard work!
The recital will be split into two days ful of concerts featuring both our group and individual students over Saturday June 25th & Sunday, June 26th
The concert will take place outdoors on the greenspace in front of the school
As much as we wish to bring back our grand concerts at a performance venue, we haven't had luck securing one this year due to the lifting of mandates only happening relatively recently. We can't wait to bring your talents to the big stage for future recitals!
In an unfortunate even of a rainy weather, the performance will be brought inside with a number of guests to be limited to 2.
We are currently in the process of gathering our tentative schedule.
- Weekend group and individual students will be scheduled similar to their lesson time
- Weekday individual students will be scheduled for the Saturday, June 25th concerts
Please email us to let us know if you will be unable to make either day so we can rearrange accordingly. Online students please note: the concert will take place in-person - if you cannot join us please let us know.

Attention JMC4, YMC3, JSAC & JAC students
We are so happy to announce that we will be opening a vocal class over the summer!
Under Ms. Alondra's instruction, students will learn some key singing concepts over the course of 7 classes. At the end of these lessons, students will perform:
"We don't talk about Bruno" from Disney's Encanto!
Lessons will also cover solfege singing and vocal technique
Will run on Tuesdays @5:45 - 6:30 PM in July & August
July: 5th, 12th, 19th, 26th
August: 2nd, 16th, 23rd
(7 classes total)

Flat fee of $195 total

Yamaha Grade Exams: Time Booking & Deadlines |

We will be reaching out to anyone who hasn't booked yet with available times
Exams are scheduled for June 6th and 7th from 9:30am to 3:00pm
All exams will be done in-person at 88Keys Music School with health and safety measures in place.
Exam Preparation Help:
Exam Teacher Led Workshops: Available at the end of May for grades 8-11
Free one on one help with Abishan: Friday afternoons for grades 10 & 11

We are excited to share that we will have a JOC concert to showcase our JAC & JSAC's who have prepared their original comositions to help our little honey-bee friend, Re-Mi, to save his fairytale world from an old magician's spell!
This is a very special project we are trying this year!

We continue to offer our individual piano students the opportunity to attend complimentary online monthly group classes with Ms. Alondra! This is our way of providing students the chance to work on musical skills beyond those typically covered in individual lessons:)
We have also opened these classes to registered Yamaha exam students to provide an extra chance to play exam pieces in front of a teacher and peers! Please see recommended level grouping below:

Basic Theory Explainer Videos |

Our wonderful teachers have created a few basic music theory explainer videos that cover the following topics:
- Basic Rhythm
-Time Signature
- Key Signature
- Chords and Harmony
The videos are created with JMC3/JMC4, JSAC1 and YMC1-YMC3 students in mind, and are aimed to help students with an understanding of the basic theory concepts.
The videos are available to all students, and can be accessed through Student's Wellnessliving Account.
